Your Telegram in a WhatsApp chat

When the power and the ordinary internet are gone and the phone only gets the satellite connection of Kyivstar, Telegram does not open, but WhatsApp works in the Light Data mode. Afargram carries your Telegram into a chat with a bot in WhatsApp and back: you read people and channels and answer them. A bot in Viber follows.

What it does

• Private chats: read and answer. New messages from people come on their own.
• Channels: read posts and comments, write comments. The posts of the channels you mark as important come on their own.
• Groups: read and answer a particular message. Mentions of you and answers to your messages come on their own.
• Search for channels, groups and people in Telegram.
• Photos only when you ask, to save traffic; they can be switched to come on their own.

The bot writes on its own at most once a minute and gathers everything into one message. While you read Telegram on another device, it keeps quiet.

How to start

Connect Telegram in advance, while there is ordinary internet: the login code comes in Telegram itself, so you cannot connect over a satellite.

1. Open the bot in WhatsApp and write "start". Write from the number your Telegram belongs to: Afargram connects only the account of your own number.
2. Open the link from the bot and sign in to Telegram with a code, as on a new device.
3. Send the bot the code of six digits the page shows.

Privacy

The service processes your correspondence only to deliver it, and keeps no message after delivery. The session "Afargram server" is listed in Telegram under Settings → Devices, and you can end it at any time. Privacy policy.
